Sufyan is the Founder & CEO of 1st Ethical.  Having graduated from The University of Manchester with a Joint Honours Degree in Economics & Corporate Finance he proceeded to work with Deloitte & Touche.  In 2001 Sufyan identified the gap in the marketplace for a specialist firm to provide bespoke tax solutions to owner managed businesses.  The rest as they is history; the rise and rise of 1st Ethical bears witness to that. 

1st Ethical’s blistering growth has landed Sufyan a string of awards, accolades and high-profile media coverage.  Sufyan (along with fellow Director Bashir Timol) is the winner of the Shell Livewire Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2003 for the local area as well as the North-West Region. They were also runners-up in the National Final.  In addition, the pair led 1st Ethical to being recognized as the UK’s Fastest Growing Company in 2003.  Amongst many other awards, in 2006, Sufyan received the prestigious Lloyds TSB Professional Excellence award.  Various newspapers and magazines have run media profiles on Sufyan including the Financial Times, The BBC & Management Today.    

Sufyan has the rare combination of a strong technical mind coupled with an extraordinary interpersonal skill set.  This unique combination continues to be the key behind why 1st Ethical is able to unlock so many business opportunities.  Sufyan is one of a handful of advisers holding the full AFPC qualification with the specialist Trusts paper G10 by Distinction.
