£60,000 per annum OTE (£30,000 basic)

The Firm

1st Ethical Ltd. are the UK's only firm of Trust Practitioners & Independent Financial Advisers specialising in tax mitigation and investment strategies within a Shariah compliant framework.

Since inception in November 2001, we have enjoyed rapid growth, winning the national Shell Live Wire Award for ‘UK’s fastest Growing Company’ in 2003, and in the ICAEW ‘Judge’s special recognition award’ in 2004 along with extensive press coverage (BBC, C4, Financial Times, Sunday Times et al)

Our growth plan for the next three years is to be the UK’s largest stand alone tax consultancy firm, God willing. This will be achieved through a combination of winning a greater number of high net worth clients coupled with diversifying the mix of products being offered to our existing portfolio.

In order to spear head this drive, 1st Ethical seek to recruit a number of outstanding senior tax advisers.

The Role

The selected candidate will be responsible for winning new clients through fostering and developing a relationship with a panel of Accountancy firms within their region, serving as their specialist in-house Tax adviser, as well as securing additional income streams from an existing portfolio of high net worth clients.

1st Ethical are committed to developing viable halal alternatives to interest based financing. Successful advisers will contribute towards this objective by developing expertise in Corporate Restructuring Solutions, Offshore / Domicile Planning and use of Specialised Tax Mitigation schemes as well as Islamic Wills and Inheritance Tax Planning, Trust based Corporation & Income Tax Planning and Shariah Compliant Investments & Pensions.

The Candidate

Interested applicants must be:

• A graduate from a ‘Russell Group’ University with a 2:1 degree or above.
• Professionally Qualified as either ACA or CTA, with minimum two years blue chip work experience.
• Possess exemplary interpersonal skills with tenacious hunger for a client facing role.

EXAMS & TRAINING

• Candidates will participate in a comprehensive 3 year development plan:
• * Comprehensive understanding of our complement of Tax solutions.
• * Completion of a variety of industry recognised qualifications  
• * Contemporary Fiqh expertise by learning from leading global scholars
• All training will be arranged in-house by senior 1st Ethical personnel.
• Exams required from a financial advisory and Sharia perspective will be funded and arranged by 1st Ethical.
